Hurt is Universal

I'm not really sure where this idea came from. I kind of popped into my head one day. I'd been thinking a lot about how the news always focuses on the problems of the world and that there are many serious issues even in our own country. The picture on the left signifies that: the girl could be struggling with an eating disorder, feeling alone and unloved.
The idea for the picture on the right came when we discussed child soldiers in my history class. What do you think it's like to be sent into battle with no experience or strength, afraid for your life and knowing you might never see your parents again...

Both of these situations are important in reversing, and they are real. They're not just a statistic or time-filler on the news. We need to do all we can to help these people, whether their problems be big or small.
Sorry if you don't like the seriousness of this post. I just needed to tell you what was going on in my mind.
I'll post soon.

Big D...now with color!

Here's the color version of my Bioshock pic. It turned out a little different than I expected...but I think it's...ok. Hope you like it...

I dated The Office...

Once again...I've gone (more of less) with a Victorian theme. I just like how everything looked back then: the buildings, the clothes, and pretty much everything else. I don't know why I chose charaters from The Office, but I did. And I think it works...and sorry for the lame pun. This could be another one of Michael Scott's stupid ideas...or it might have nothing to do with that. I just drew the picture. Now you can draw your own conclusions. ...And again...I'm going to try to color this one too.

I'll have more next week...

That's some pretty intense headgear you got there, Daddyo...

Bioshock has got to be one of the most freaky, awesome, challenging, innovative, crazycool games I've ever played. Plus it has a great story so far...very errie and haunting. I'm really excited to see where the plot goes with the second installment...Bioshock 2. If you're really excited to see what happens, you might want to go here. The characters I've drawn are two of the most central (at least in the first one anyway): the Big Daddy and the Little Sister. You'll have to read for yourself about the plot. I'll try to get a colored version as soon as I can...it ought to be super fun to do. Anyway...here you go.

Thank you Wombat...

I got Photoshop about a month ago, and it's seriously the most awesome software program ever (save a select few.) It was all thanks to my friend (who I shall keep anonymous and that will probably be the only one (except for a few others) who knows what the title of this post actually means.) Without his awesome copy+paste skills...I would be nothing. This colored version of the Holmes and Watson pic I did a while back is just my first dabbling in the awesomeness known as Photoshop, but I think it turned out pretty good. So...as a refresher, here's the original:

...And here's the colored version.
